Scanning Using The Printer’s Control Panel

  • Ensure to connect your printer and computer using a UBS cable or Wi-Fi network.
  • If you’re connected using a Wi-Fi network, make sure that your printer and computer are on the same network.
  • Open the scanner lid and load the document with the scan side facing down on the scanner glass.
  • Close the scanner lid.
  • To scan multiple pages, load the document in the automatic document feeder.
  • Slide the ADF edge guide to the outermost position.
  • Now, place the document with the scan side facing up in the automatic document feeder.
  • Adjust the ADF edge guide to the edges of the stack. But not too tightly.
  • If necessary, hit the Home button on the printer’s control panel.
  • Now, tap the Scan option from the list.
  • Under the “Scan to” category, tap the Email option.
  • In case you have not configured an email server, you will be prompted to set up the server.
  • Tap Proceed to open the server settings screen or touch Done to continue.
  • Now, select the recipient’s email address using one of the options below.
  • If you want to enter the recipient’s email address manually, tap Keyboard on the printer screen.
  • Touch the Contacts option to pick an existing email address from the contact list.
  • Otherwise, tap the History option to select an email address from the recent scan history.
  • Once done, touch the Scan Settings button on your printer screen.
  • Go to File Format and select the file format for the current scanning job.
  • If you need to change any settings, select the necessary option and complete the setting.
  • Finally, tap the Send button.

Scanning Using Epson Scan 2

  • Make sure to load the document with the scan side facing down on the scanner glass.
  • Select the Start button on your computer and launch the Epson Scan 2 application.
  • On the main screen, click on the Mode drop-down list and choose the document type you are scanning.
  • Next, select the Document Source field under the Main Settings tab and choose where you have loaded the document to scan on your printer.
  • Click the Document Size field and choose the respective size of the document that you are scanning with your printer.
  • Now, go to the Image Type field and select the option using which you want to scan your document.
  • Select the Resolution field and choose the respective option you wish to use from the drop-down list.
  • If you want to preview the document you are scanning, click the Preview button at the bottom of the window.
  • Next, select the Advanced Settings tab next to the Main Settings tab.
  • Go to the Image Format field and select how to save the scanned document.
  • When you’re done with all of your settings, click the Scan button at the bottom of the window.
